The cost of our services.

We can be remunerated in a number of ways, depending upon what you and we agree is most appropriate for both parties. Remember, though, that there is no charge for having an initial exploratory meeting with us.

1. PAYING A FEE

If you prefer to pay us a fee for our advice and services, and the product that we recommend is one that would normally pay us commission, we will pass on the full value of that commission to you in one or more ways: by reducing our fee or by reducing the charges in the product, or by increasing the amount that your investment amount, or by refunding any commission to you. If you opt for fee-based advice from us we will always advise you in advance of the amount of the fee, before starting work for you.

2. COMMISSION

If you buy a financial product we would normally receive commission from the product provider, which is of course paid out of their charges. The fact that we are being paid commission does not mean that you are receiving the advice from us free of charge, since, after all, you will pay the product provider’s charges if you buy it or invest in it. We will advise you in writing of any commission that we would receive before you proceed with buying the product.

3. COMBINED COMMISSION AND FEES

In some circumstances we may charge a fee in addition to any commission that we receive. In these circumstances we will of course advise you of the additional fee in advance of starting the work for you.

If you choose the fee option

The fee will depend on the complexity of the task, the size of the financial arrangement on which you require advice, and the time we expect it to take. Under most circumstances we will work on the basis of a fixed fee and we will normally give you an estimate. A typical charge for a full financial review together with a detailed financial report would probably be between £650 and £1,500, depending on the complexity of your situation.

Remember that as Independent Financial Advisers we are obliged to give you the best possible advice that we can. We take into account products from the whole market when advising clients. Our job if you like, is to be your professional buyers of financial services.
